Top 15 Best MCU Easter Eggs

1. I think I will call him Adam

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 left several secret endings. However, one draws a lot of attention if you are a fan of Marvel comics. When Ayesha, leader of the Sovereign, appears with a vengeance with what she considers her ultimate weapon, shaped like a coffin or perhaps a golden cocoon, she says they will call him Adam. The most logical thing is that it is Adam Warlock, one of the most important characters of the Infinity Saga in the comics but that sadly did not appear in the first phases of the MCU.

The most exciting part of this Easter egg is how this character can be used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how much it can affect the plot, especially considering that the elements of cosmic Marvel will be involved to a greater extent.

These are some of the Easter eggs that most caught our attention within the MCU. However, there are still many others that can be very interesting, even some that have not yet come to light.

2. Kick-Ass in Wandavision

Wandavision, one of the most recent miniseries, is also part of the MCU, and episode 6 has an interesting Easter egg that very few noticed. There Pietro tells Wanda’s kids to go get candy for Halloween, and they reply, “Kick-Ass,” and Wanda repeats it quietly in a thoughtful way. This refers to the movie Kick-Ass where actors Evan Peters and Aaron Taylor-Johnson appear, both of whom played Quicksilver in the film adaptations of the character, except that one did it in Fox’s Xmen movie franchise while the other did it in Avengers: Age of Ultron. In Wandavision, Peters stars as the Quicksilver that Taylor-Johnson should have played.

3. Groundhog Day in Doctor Strange

This is one of the most interesting and far-fetched of all the Easter eggs mentioned on this list. In the first Doctor Strange film, Stephen Strange’s car accident occurs on Groundhog Day. So far, so good. However, we must remember that this is not only a special date on the calendar. It is also a movie starring Bill Murray where he lives the same day repeatedly, that is, a time loop like the one used by Strange at the end of the movie.

4. Nick Fury on Pulp Fiction

Nick Fury is an expert in faking his death, and in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, he does it and visits his own grave that has a part of the verse Ezekiel 25:17 written, The Path of the Righteous Man. Jules recites this verse in the 90s film Pulp Fiction, played by Samuel L. Jackson, who also plays Nick Fury.

5. Dr. Donald Blake

That name appears twice in the first Thor movie. It is the name of Jane Foster’s ex-boyfriend, and in another, it is the identity used by Professor Selvig to cover up Thor from SHIELD agents. The fascinating thing is that in the comics, that name was of the human whose body was chosen by Odin so that Thor would live on Earth and learn to be a humble person.

6. The Futurist

In Civil War, Hawkeye calls Tony Stark “The Futurist,” which may seem normal considering Stark’s inventions. However, that has a slightly distant background. In 2004, Robert Downey Jr, before being Iron Man, released a jazz album called The Futurist.

7. Hydra Targets Stephen Strange

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Cap, Falcon, and the Black Widow interrogate a HYDRA agent targeting Stephen Strange, which is a fascinating fact. However, the film’s director, Kevin Feige, would clarify that Strange’s fame as a surgeon and not because he is the sorcerer. Now the question is, who in HYDRA needs surgery? Probably Red Skull…

8. Treasures in Odin’s Vault

In the first Thor movie, you can see the Infinity Gauntlet with all the gems in Odin’s Vault, which doesn’t make much sense in the MCU’s overarching plot with Thanos and the gems mentioned earlier. However, in Thor: Ragnarok, Hela would say that that was just a replica. Although that only clarifies that it was a mistake.

9. The old Hulk in The Incredible Hulk

Lou Ferrigno was the actor who played the Hulk in the late 70s series, where he was the real Hulk, with no special effects or anything like that. In the movie The Incredible Hulk (which, although it may not seem like it, is part of the MCU), he makes a cameo as a security guard.

10. Wakanda and Atlantis in Iron Man 2

In the post-credit scene of the Iron Man sequel, we can see Nick Fury talking to Tony Stark, and in the background, there is a world map where various places in the world are marked. One is Wakanda, the land of Black Panther that already had its appearance in the MCU. Another place is Atlantis, where Namor is located, so the appearance of this character is more than possible.

11. The first Human Torch

The Human Torch suit can be seen in the Stark exhibition scene in Captain America: The First Avenger. It is worth mentioning that it is the original Human Torch suit, not the member of the Fantastic Four, but the robot that could engulf its body in flames created in the late 30s.

12. The Collector’s Gallery

Upon entering the Collector’s gallery during the Guardians of the Galaxy film, we were able to see several striking details. Among the most prominent were Howard Duck, Cosmo, the dog sent by the Soviets into space who acquired psychic powers and a cocoon very similar to that of the first appearance of Adam Warlock in the comics.

13. The champions of Sakaar

In the Thor: Ragnarok movie, at the tower of the Grandmaster, we can see the faces of the champions of Sakaar, who are Man-Thing, Beta Ray Bill, Ares, and Bi-Beast, all well-known Marvel characters in the comics.

14. Professor Selvig’s Chalkboard

In Thor: The Dark World, Professor Selvig is explaining something related to the Nine Kingdoms and, on his blackboard, things like Universe 616 (the universe where the Marvel heroes are) appear and about how there are several universes and how they can get there to connect.

15. Jocasta in Age of Ultron

After JARVIS was loaded with Vision in the second Avengers movie, Tony Stark had to load another user interface for his suit. Among those available was one with a label that said JOCASTA. However, he finally opted for the one that said FRIDAY. In the comics, Jocasta is Ultron’s girlfriend.

Something that has become popular in the world of cinema has been the references to other works, the famous Easter eggs, and in the case of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this has been used countless times throughout the different projects that they have, and it is customary to a certain extent since Marvel has more than 80 years of stories from which perfect Easter eggs can be extracted from.

So, in this article, we are going to present those that, in our opinion, are the 15 best Easter eggs in the Marvel Cinematic Universe:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
