The latest addition to the iPhone family by Apple is the iPhone 12 series that includes: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 12 pro max. However, out of all these, iPhone 12 pro max stands out the most for several reasons discussed below.
It is the most remarkable, most significant, and feature-rich smartphone that Apple has released in 4 different colors: gold, grey, graphite, and pacific blue.
It is the only iPhone with the latest complete system of cameras that apple has to offer, i.e., Rear cameras including a primary 12MP camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera having a 120-degree field of view, and a telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom. The features that have received the most rave reviews from critics include impressive stabilization, incredible sensors, and light-gathering ability, which makes it great for use at night.
This extraordinary device contains the biggest screen of all the iPhones, a huge 6.7 inch OLED display with ceramic shield technology that makes it drop resistant. This makes iPhone 12 pro max the only phone in the series that can compete with Samsung super phones’ screens.
It has the best battery timing of all iPhones due to its 3678mAh battery. It offers almost two days worth of battery timing (8 hrs more than iPhone 12).
Unlike its predecessor iPhone 12, which had a starting storage of 64GB, its starting storage is 128 GB and is available in both 256GB and 512GB.
It has the Apple bionic A14processor along with 6 GB RAM. Also noteworthy is the fact that it supports 5G internet better than all other iPhones.
This beast of a handset comes at a beast of the price of US$1099, which is quite more than all others in its league. Secondly, it offers the same IOS 14.2 as all others in iPhone 12 series but at a higher cost. It is worth mentioning that Apple maintains its tradition of providing a smaller battery and RAM compared to Samsung or Oneplus flagship phones, hoping that its well-stitched software makes up for these deficiencies. It has a refresh rate of 64Hz that honestly is quite low compared to other phones, e.g., Samsung phones offer a refresh rate of 128 Hz at a lower price. Moreover, critics have pointed out that even though its 2.5x optical zoom is quite impressive compared to its competitors, its zoom becomes quite pale at 4x or 5x zoom. Perhaps, the complaint that has probably annoyed every iPhone user is that it doesn’t come with a charger! The fact that users have to buy the charger separately has even deterred some customers
While it is praised for its exceptional cameras and display, its OS is not all that different from others, and the device is also costly.
